PFW – Louis Vuitton A/W 2013 collection
We all know that Marc Jacobs has a creative vision for Louis Vuitton that wows the fashion crowd every season. However, nothing could have prepared us for the A/W 2013 catwalk that Jacobs disguised as a 50-room hotel with models clad in his beautiful designs appearing from behind each door on Wednesday 6th March during Paris Fashion Week.
An array of different prints and textures are presented with an underlying theme of nostalgic nightwear. Dainty floral prints are teamed with heavy plaid coats and silky slips paired with oversized fur coats, injecting an element of grunge into the collection.
As feathered and sequined dresses and coats were incorporated into the show, a much more sultry tone was presented. With Kate Moss making a surprise appearance in the finale, wearing a sheer, embroidered dress that flows almost as gracefully as she does down the catwalk, there is nothing that this Louis Vuitton collection doesn’t offer.
With the combination of fur, silk, florals, plaid, tailoring, knitwear, sequins, feathers, embroidery, Kate Moss and Marc Jacobs sporting a pair of silk pyjamas, we think it’s safe to say that this Louis Vuitton show has it all.
