All things nice… Jo Malone releases limited edition Sugar and Spice collection
It’s no secret that for fragrances that smell good enough to eat you head straight to your nearest Jo Malone store, but this spring they have taken things one step further with Sugar and Spice, a limited edition collection of five colognes inspired by an English high tea. These special offerings have been created in collaboration with the perfumer Christine Nagel and they do not disappoint.
The collection is formed of Redcurrant and Cream, a fresh berry and sweet creamy delight- like Eton Mess in a bottle! Gooseberry and Elderflower, which is floral, sweet and sharp; Lemon Tart which really needs no description as it smells exactly as one would imagine; Bitter Orange and Chocolate whose initial wave of heady cocoa is subtly followed by a mild citrus burst and last of all, our favourite: Ginger Biscuit; a creamy vanilla gourmand with spicy cinnamon and nutmeg undertones which fades to a burnt caramel finish.
All of the fragrances in the Sugar and Spice collection come in 30ml bottles priced at £38 and are available until stock runs out, it seems a shame that we can’t get our hands on bigger bottles but the upside is that these cute ones fit in our handbags. The collection is accompanied with a beautifully kitsch video which can be seen on the Jo Malone website featuring some delicious desserts and a large helping of English eccentricity.
As with all Jo Malone colognes the collection can be worn alone or layered with her other offerings to create a personal and unique aroma, a visit to the store is worthwhile as the consultants are always available to help you create your own bespoke fragrance using a combination of her colognes. To make sure you’re smelling your sweetest this Spring why not pop in and see what your favourite is?
