Beyoncé for H&M: The face of their summer collection
H&M have released their first promotional imagery from their summer collection that features none other than Beyoncé.
The Swedish fashion company have had many famous faces modelling their pieces over the years including Kylie Minogue, Jade Jagger and Gary Oldman.
It was first reported back in January that the singer would be partnering with the high street label when she was seen being photographed at the tropical destination of The Bahamas.
Two months later and we are presented with this summery, sultry photo which shows Beyoncé lay on a lounger in a pair of patterned shorts, a cream shirt and some cute flower accessories in her hair and on her shoes.
So far only one image has been released but it already screams out true Beyoncé style with a mix of sex appeal, charm and class. The outfit itself is summery but not too revealing with a muted toned shirt and bang on-trend diamond print hotpants with a coral-red lipstick and nails to add some Beyoncé fiery spice to the cute ensemble.
Beyoncé has been quoted saying “I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind.” This is a truly interesting way to look at fashion and it is possible to say that this first picture offers a mix of earth with the calm colours of the outfit and fire with the strong red-orange shade of the lips and nails.
It’s great to know that Beyoncé will be having some input into the collection and let’s hope the clothes reflect her exciting concept.
Not only has the star offered creative input in the fashion side she has also recorded a song for the H&M advert that will be released in May, the same month the clothes hit stores.
The outdoor ads are said to read “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M,” which is in reference to her world tour which starts April 15th, a month before the launch of the campaign.
