The nation is raising an eyebrow
Heavier and more defined eyebrows have been on trend for a while now, but London Fashion Week has given them a boost. John Lewis has reported that sales in eyebrow make-up are up by 34% when compared to the same time last year.
Cara Delevingne and other models have aided this transition from drawn-on pencil thin brows to big and bushy and there are new products appearing all the time.
Topshop has recently unveiled two new brow pencils: Brows in Spike and Brows in Vicious Circle. The pencils are made from a new wax-based formula, making them waterproof and increasing their longevity.
The pencils are available in two colours Chocolate Brown for Brows in Spike and Mushroom Brown for Brows in Vicious Circle. They will be available to buy for £5 from selected Topshop stores nationwide, topshop.com and Oxford Street’s John Lewis and Selfridges.
If you are in need of an eyebrow boost, you can even buy something to help with that. RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum is said to “put the wow back in your brow”. It is made from a blend of peptides and fortifying proteins that help to repair and restore the appearance of eyebrows in 60 days.
To find the perfect endpoint for your eyebrows, place a pencil so it lines up with the outer corner of your eye and the outer side of your nostril on the same side. Follow the line up and where it crosses your eyebrow is where they should end. Remember to keep to a colour similar to your natural colour as overly dark eyebrows can be ageing.
