Press Day: Forward PR showcase the new autumn/winter 2013 collections
Forward look after the PR needs for several fashion designers and they recently showcased the newest collections by these clients. From cashmere and fur to leather and bullets, the autumn/winter 2013 season is set to be stylish and classic with a modern flair.
Created in 2012 by Alexander Leimbach and Roman Makuhha, Euphorik is the ultimate in smart-casual and their A/W 2013 range continues this feel. From hooded blazers to velvet jackets and suede-trimmed shirts, this collection has something for every man looking to jazz up his weekend wardrobe without looking over-dressed. Euphorik have taken several of the staple items in many men’s wardrobes and added their own twist on it with an embellishment or a change in fabric. This range would certain be noticed on any wearer and makes a great, but subtle, statement.
The latest offering by Jaida Hay is her Identité collection for A/W 2013 and this takes us back to the late 1920s and the love affair between Man Ray and Lee Miller. Hay has used a palette of black and blue with metallic flashes and mixed up the matte cottons with the more modern sequin detailing. This fusion of styles works beautifully and the pieces are sure to become classics in the wardrobe of anyone who buys them.
Singapore-born Eugene Lin set up his eponymous label in 2009 after graduating from Central Saint Martin’s College and developing his skills with Preen and Vivian Westwood. Lin is known for his eye for detailing and the .45 colt bullet casings on his new A/W 2013 collection are testament to this. The palette of red, black, brown and green is gracefully accented with gold and the cut and style of the clothes are beautiful. Eugene Lin has most certainly created an A/W collection of timelessly smart and sophisticated pieces.
Silk and cashmere are both materials that we associate with luxury and comfort and their namesake is no different. The A/W 2013 collection promises to wrap its wearers in stylish garments of soft warmth. The muted colour scheme is one suitable for wearers of all ages and guaranteed to stay looking graceful and elegant for years to come. Whether it’s slipping on a soft jumper or wrapping up in a fur-trimmed coat, Silk & Cashmere have this season all wrapped up.
Royal College of Art graduate Alice Palmer brings her latest collection Lady Vengeance to the A/W 2013 season and certainly makes a splash. The red, black and white colour scheme is as eye catching as the modern but classic designs. The collection has a feel of the Art Deco 1920s and at the same time is different and quirky, but still incredibly wearable and versatile.
Australian Millinery designer Alexandra Harper is still fairly new to the UK market, but her designs are sure to make her a big name soon. Classic shapes with a stylish twist, Harper designs unique statement pieces of excellence. From the smallest fascinator to the largest hat, her attention to detail never falters making each design a work of art.
