Eliza Dolittle stars in Palladium’s Battersea: Power of London
It’s getting harder and harder for brands to differentiate themselves from others nowadays but here at The Upcoming we feel one brand that has no problem in that area are heritage boot brand, Palladium. On several campaigns now, they’ve taken to teaming up with adventurous celebs including the likes of Pharrell, Daisy Lowe, Johnny Knoxville and Alice Dellal, allowing them to explore urban neighbourhoods around the world. However, now has come the turn of fashionista Eliza Dolittle.
The British singer/songwriter is a regular when it comes to being spotted on the front row at many a fashion show and having been a fan of Palladium’s boots for some time now it’s no wonder they asked her to get involved. She told Elle magazine of her first pair; fresh white-on-white ones, which she loved straight away.
Palladium boots have been exploring the world ever since they were created way back in 1947 and for the latest campaign they decided to hit the iconic untouched Battersea Power Station. It’s been abandoned for 40 years now, was once a symbol of Britain’s power and has been used as a backdrop on countless films.
Luckily for you, they’ve filmed the entire tour for a short film that you can access on YouTube. Eliza said of the experience: “in every room there, you felt the energy of what had been before.” Vice president of marketing for Palladium, Barney Waters said, “Eliza caught our eye as she’s been wearing Palladium boots around London and we knew she would be the ideal explorer for our next film.”
Here at The Upcoming we think Palladium boots are the ideal way to combine fashion and practicality! The tough treads come in a huge variety of shades, including pastel and dip dye the perfect way to stay on trend.
