One size fits all: Pierre Hardy for NARS
Here at The Upcoming we are big fans of collaborations, especially when it involves two of our favourite things, make-up and shoes. French shoe designer Pierre Hardy, renowned for his heels and high-tops, has teamed up with cosmetics brand NARS to create a brand spanking new collection.
The collection uses influences from Hardy’s summer 2013 collection, including geometric shapes and bursts of chic colour. It consists of six nail polish duos and two blushes, with shades of nude, pastels and shimmers.
The first blush, Boys Don’t Cry infamously named after The Cure song, is a poppy pink grapefruit shade with a gold overlay. Perfect for sweeping over your cheeks for an extra pop. The second, Rotonde is a tiger lily orange, a very warm tone and would look great on all you tanned girlies. Although these are slightly more expensive than the normal NARS products (both retail at £30), these limited edition blushes are considerably larger. Therefore we won’t mind forking out a few extra pounds.
Our favourites from the varnishes are the Sharks duo, a set of yellow and lavender that really gets us in the summer mood. Ethno Run is a gorgeous duo of orange and navy, we think this contrast works really well. Each duo is £22 and get this, the polishes come in their own miniature shoe box, how cute is that!?
