Julep launches the first ever DD cream
By now we’re sure you’ve heard of the wildly popular beauty item called the BB cream. Then the CC cream entered the global market and swept BB creams to the side. However, we’ve all been waiting anxiously to see what the next big thing would be and thankfully it is here! It has arrived in the package of a DD cream.
DD cream stands for “Daily Defence” or “Dyanamic Do All”. It’s supposed to address fine lines, balance uneven skin tone (caused by blemishes or dark spots) and provide hydrating, brightening, and anti-ageing properties for your skin. It’s also supposed to prime and perfect with buildable coverage and protect with an SPF 25.
Julep’s Dynamic Do All range will be a combination of skincare and make-up. They plan to release a DD cream and an accompanying DD concealer, which is said to “enhance the complexion, and provide a softer focus that serves to scatter light reflection and help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles”. The powerful anti-ageing ingredients in Julep’s DD cream focus on making your skin look great when you put it on, and also improve your skin over time.
However, beauty experts are not sure what the difference between a CC cream and a DD cream actually is. CC creams are designed to help moisturise, help diminish fine lines, balance uneven skin tones and help with pigmentation too. The proof is in the pudding, and we will have to see when Julep, the first company to launch a DD cream brings out their product this June.

The product will be offered in four shades and is currently available to pre-order here for £23.
