Roja Dove to lead the GREAT Britain campaign
If you’ve ever been to Harrods or are a perfume enthusiast, you will know of British master perfumer, Roja Dove.
As a world-renowned expert, philanthropist and collaborative innovator, Roja alters our sensory experiences into something mind-blowing. Names such as Aston Martin, Fabergé, Laurent-Perrier and The Macallan are just some of the prestigious British and international institutions that have turned to Roja due to his reputation in the world of magnificence and individuality. The Victoria & Albert Museum has also, in the past, commissioned Roja to create a scent inspired by their exhibition Diaghilev and the Golden Age of the Ballets Russes.
With such an astounding résumé, it seems only fitting that Roja has been nominated to be an international ambassador for the GREAT Britain campaign. The GREAT Britain campaign, led by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), has ten distinct pillars which cover: countryside, creativity, entrepreneurs, green, innovation, knowledge, music and sport. It is engineered to enable Britain to speak with one voice about the opportunities to study, work and invest in the UK and in turn, helps to attract millions of extra visitors.
The news of his Ambassadorial role was revealed to Roja Dove at No.10 Downing Street. Roja commented: “I am proud to support the GREAT Britain campaign, and to be an Ambassador for Creativity is GREAT. Britain is indeed a creative nation, and although we are home to less than one per cent of the world’s population, the UK has one of the largest creative industries sectors in the world. It is a place where imagination can flourish to create fragrances, films, music, design, and literature that connect with people around the world.”
As Roja continues to surprise us with new inventions, his creations and beliefs reiterate that smell goes beyond a simple fragrance.
