Ada + Nik to launch during London Collections: Men
Brand new menswear brand Ada + Nik is set to launch this June, at London Collections: Men. This Greco-Roman punk-inspired collection is the co-creation of womenswear designer Ada Zanditon and fashion creative Nik Thakkar.
The collection will be comprised of ten unique capsule pieces and incorporate Thakkar’s love for a monochrome and minimalist luxe aesthetic. Whilst nodding to Zanditon’s previous collections and portraying her distinctive structuring and silhouettes, the collection is a real mix of the creative’s inspirations.
All pieces will be ethically sourced and produced, which is a good job seeing as the fabric used includes eel skin and human hair, to name a few. The collection will showcase a statement biker jacket, kilts, open back structured dress shirts and sheer plus eel skin t-shirts. Swimwear, a luxury gym towel and tank tops are also on the cards. But there is one item that we are just too excited to view, a human hair, bamboo and calf leather jersey; we think this will be the talking point of the collection in June.
“Nik is one of the most stylish men I know, it’s an honour to be co- designing this collection with him. I have often been asked about creating menswear – but always found it a challenge to pinpoint a male muse or masculinity that really embraces the Zanditon attitude of bold sexy fearless elegance.”
Zanditon said about their collaboration: “Working with him gives me a real role model of everything that I want our collection to be.”
Ada + Nik will be creating fashion creative campaigns and fashion films, featuring leading male models and fashion muses.
The collection will showcase between 16th and 18th June alongside big names like Burberry, Jimmy Choo and Rag & Bone.
