NYC: Annual American Image Awards 2013
The Annual American Image Awards 2013 took place at the Intrepid Air, Sea and Space Museum at Pier 86 in New York City. The event was put together by American Apparel & Footwear to raise funds to support the Wounded Warrior Project. Upon entering the red carpet event views of the majestic Intrepid U.S. Navy ship was amazing. Once inside the grand Intrepid, large screens showed famous black and white images from classic movies. Guests were dressed in formal gowns of satin and crimp fabrics ranging from reds to black, courted amongst black tuxedos. Guests mingled arround gorgeous vivid pink, red and white floral arrangements on pedestal tables. As the pre-event started, honored retired veterans, celebrities and business leaders grouped on the red carpet section for photos and time limited interviews.
Within the first hour, guests were ushered to be seated in the large beautifully decorated dining room for a formal dinner and to enjoy the awards program. Among the distinguished and honored veterans, most of whom are retired today, were devoted business leaders, sports, film and Broadway celebrities. As the evening progressed, a special tribute commenced to honor Wes Card and Saks Corporation.
In the end, guests enjoyed a loyal cause to the Wounded Warrior Project at the most appropriate venue on the Intrepid, Pier 86 in New York City.
