Afternoon tea to celebrate the launch of B by Barjis scarf collection
Dressed casually in jeans and a black dress, Barjis Chohan greeted and smiled enthusiastically as she celebrated the launch of her new scarf collection at the Swarovski Lounge. Upbeat music flowed quietly throughout the elegant backdrop, and there were plenty of cups of tea and fancy cupcakes to keep the guests satisfied. A peaceful, yet cheerful atmosphere filled the room. Some of her clothing samples were displayed in glass showcases and others hung loosely on railings.
B by Barjis scarves, which was showcased at London Fashion Week, was displayed in the far corner, so we made our way towards the collection. As we looked at the scarves, it reminded us of the sun beaming through the window. This new range was heavily influenced by cupcakes and nature, which explains the use of flower prints and earth colours. Red, yellow and blue were the prominent colours that Barjis had chosen, as it represented warmth and nature. Flower prints symbolise freshness and tranquility. It is evident that Barjis had chosen to do earth colours and natural prints on her new range of scarves as it represented the summer season.
Barjis held out a scarf, and we felt the soft material glide through our fingers. The material is of silk and cotton blend and it felt extremely soft and fragile. One guest commented that she had never felt anything like it, and it felt like luxury. In reply to this, Barjis mentioned that before choosing the material, she had thoroughly researched the market and discovered there was nothing like this on offer.
The material is extremely beautiful and gentle, and it would definitely be comfortable to wear. Barjis’ scarves are of quality and class, as it highlights her passion and determination for beautiful, calm and unique things, and they are worth the starting price of £25.
