A guide to achieving the power brow

The eyes are said to be the windows to our soul, making eyebrows the frame, so ensure you are bang-on-trend with a groomed brow this season. Follow our guide to achieving the power brow!

When shaping your brows, think of it as a journey rather than a quick fix, if you’ve over plucked for years then it may take a while for hairs to return. To help this process why not leave your tweezers at home whilst on holiday and allow your hairs to re-grow, then set to work creating the masterpiece upon your return.

A fabulous set of brow stencils and the finest Swiss-made tweezers are the perfect place to start. Shavata, with her years of brow expertise allows us to use the tools of the trade. From this day forward take the pledge to only tweeze your brows once your desired shape is drawn in. With the use of stencils, lay the shape over the top of your natural brow, pencil or powder it in, then tweeze hairs that aren’t part of this shape. This way you’re working towards achieving your desired shape. Each week you should notice the need to use less brow make-up as your hairs return and fill in the gaps.

It may not always be necessary to tweeze your hairs; if your brows are long and unruly, consider trimming them. Using a brow comb, brush the brows upwards, then use Shavata brow scissors (£5.95) to trim any strays. Follow the same process with the brows swept downwards. Take this slowly, you can always remove more hairs, but you can’t stick them back on once cut!
