Denim dream team: Bambi and Manson collaborate with True Religion
Two of the most popular names in denim are collaborating to create the ultimate collection of denim wear ready for summer 2013.
True Religion is an American denim brand set up in 2002 by Jeffrey Lubell and has steadily become one of the most successful jean companies out there. The fashion label is well known for creating stand out denim staples that often feature over-sized stitching and contrasting pockets. They will be pairing up with UK born Bambi and Manson, run by couple Polly O’Connell and Jim Cubitt, the BAM name was created when Polly became fed up with searching for the perfect pair of denim shorts and decided to create her own!
The duo state that ‘Bambi’ stands for the cute side and is all about delightful frills and flirty floral prints, whereas Manson is the edgier half with a dash of leather, the odd stud and punk inspired rips and tears.
So what can we expect when the UK meets the US? True Religion is all about the perfect fit and timeless pieces, whereas Bambi and Manson consistently bring an element of edge and eclectic style to their designs. With this combination you are sure to have the perfect mix of classic cuts and on-trend styling.
The collection will be made up of 50 pieces and will include shorts, jeans, jackets, vests and even a children’s range. The designers state the inspiration for this line is the LA girl, 80s surfer chic, bohemia and rock n roll, so you are sure to find numerous garments which you want to make your own.
The selection will be available from Selfridges and although prices and designs are yet to be release these two denim houses never fail to deliver so we expect great things.
