Do your headphones save the rainforest?
Attention music lovers and save-the-planet people! Urbanears, the Swedish headphone company, has recently launched the Re:Plattan model, which helps save the Costa Rican rainforest and plays music exceptionally while doing so. The latest addition to their Urbanear Editions models, the Re:Plattan is made from the scrap parts from previous collections. Instead of throwing them away, the leftover pieces come together to form a colourful patchwork and very fashionable pair of headphones.
The company paired up with Pax to give every pair of headphones the GPS coordinates of five square metres of rainforest in Costa Rica that is protected with your purchase! How cool is that? All you need to do is enter the code given to you with your headphones in the traceable Pax decoder and it will show you a pin on the map to the specific area of the endangered rainforest that you saved!
The Re:Plattan model is collapsible for easy storage, comes with a one-year warranty, a ZoundPlug (a socket that allows your friend to play into your ear cap and listen to the same thing you’re listening to) and a nice 120cm cord for extra moving room. For only £51 you can save the world and have a great pair of headphones. To us, that is perfect harmony!
