Style icon Diana Vreeland’s wardrobe goes for sale!
Diana Vreeland is one of the most notable fashion icons in the history of style. Mrs Vreeland was an eminent columnist and editor who worked for magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. Being a lady of such elegance and sophistication, it is no wonder that she was named on the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1964. So, what do us fashionistas think of Diana Vreeland’s wardrobe going for sale?
The glamorous, chic, desirable wardrobe will be going on auction on 25th June at Kerry Taylor Auctions. Being known for her impeccable taste in clothes just makes Vreeland’s wardrobe auction even more exciting. With timeless, high-quality, classic pieces, there is no doubt that everyone will want to grab their hands on the luxurious items that will be available. Pieces that are going for auction include an Yves Saint Laurent navy wool coat, which is still embellished with the scarlet ribbon of her Légion d’honneur award, and an art-deco cigarette holder, which is part of Vreeland’s identity.
A close associate with the former fashion icon donated the charismatic collection. The wardrobe items will include statements of fashion from the past yet will still be able to mix in with today’s fashion as in each design we see in the high street there is an element of the 50s and 60s. But who cares if the designs don’t fit in with the looks of today. After all, these are the Diana Vreeland clothes – a style icon of the century!
If you feel like investing in an item of Vreeland’s wardrobe or just want to witness the mesmerising pieces, then head on over to Kerry Taylor Auctions on 25th June.
