Pringle of Scotland Women’s Resort 2014
For their 2014 resort collection Pringle of Scotland have taken the company’s Scottish heritage, mixed it up with fresh colours and revised the iconic patterns to create a modern yet elegant line.
As one of the oldest names in British fashion, especially in regards to knitwear, Pringle has been creating twinsets and cashmere sweaters since the 1970s so it is fair to say that they most certainly know their stuff. As we take a sneak peek at their 2014 resort line it is clear to see that Pringle of Scotland are still at the top of their game.
The collection is a refreshing mix of elegant shapes; slash neck tops, pleated dresses and knee-length skirts infused with a cool palette that embraces British summer life. From the lemonade inspired yellow, ice-cream-like pinks and nautical clash of cream and navy, Pringle have used quintessentially British summer colours on a canvas of trademark Pringle of Scotland designs.
Although many of the shapes are classic and the colours add a refreshing edge, it is the intricate detailing of pleats, kilting and the soft knitwear which makes these articles characteristically Pringle of Scotland.
Whether a skirt has strict geometric kilting and a jumper has the sharp argyle pattern, or a t-shirt is woven and a dress casually pleated, all the pieces are trademark Pringle of Scotland designs and you won’t find knitwear at such a high quality anywhere else.
Suitable for a summer picnic, a cover up for a spring evening, a winter warmer or an autumn knit, Pringle of Scotland remains consistently chic and stylish and will always be a much-needed staple.
