Philip B anti frizz formula 57 (£28)

With frizz being the bane of our lives, we just had to put this anti frizz formula to the test. Promising “one drop and you’ll forget you ever had a bad hair day” it sounded too good to be true! With pure vitamin E, lavender, jojoba and soybean oils to provide the correct level of deep hydration without weighing the hair down, boosting movement and shine, the light-weight formula smelt divine. Applied to towel dried hair and styled as usual, our precious locks looked as if we’d been treated to a styling session with Mr Philip B himself. Smooth, sleek, bouncy and healthy looking hair, that remained this way despite the city humidity until the next wash. By investing in this frizz-fighting formula, you can indulge yourself with a precious extra few minutes in bed, as hair styling becomes effortless.

Philip B lavender hair and body shampoo (£20)

We tend to be sceptical of a multi-tasking product that claims able to wash our hair and bodies from the same bottle, but with this product we only require the gentlest cleanse for our colour-treated and heat-styled locks.

This mild blend of botanical ingredients is suitable for even the most delicate amongst us. The luxurious and heady scent of lavender relaxed our weary scalps upon first contact. This shampoo is able to deep cleanse the hair whilst protecting colour, preventing static, hydrating both the body and scalp, whilst gently cleansing. This is our travel beauty essential, Phillip B; we salute you for passing with flying colours, the task of creating a fabulous multi-tasking product that delivers on every promise made.

Philip B hairbrushes (£40)

Recreate the look of red carpet style by using the tools usually reserved for the A-listers. Natural boar bristles glide through hair, gently hydrating, taming static and stimulating the scalp. The extra length in the brush handle allows for effortless styling, protecting the hand from dryer heat whilst allowing you, the stylist, a higher level of control.

We save this treatment shampoo for when we’ve gone a few too many days without a shampoo, have been heavy handed with the styling products or are feeling sluggish after a hectic week in the world of beauty. It never fails to turn our frowns upside down!

Philip B katira hair masque (£23.96)

This is the ideal partner to our hair detox, and another of our once-a-week pamper night indulgences. With pure katira extract – the “it” conditioner of the Middle East – this mask repairs weak or damaged areas, maximising strength and shine. This wonder ingredient actually gives each strand of hair an electrical charge, which you’ll notice during blow drying and which leaves hair bouncy and volumised. The clear gel formula also contains a hair-loving high tech amino acid complex for oil-free and light-weight deep nourishment, waving its magic wand and transforming any hair type into a style fit for a night at the Oscars. 

Philip B lovin’ leave in conditioner (£16)

For lazy Sunday mornings when conditioning your hair in the shower seems like far too much effort, don’t compromise your style. With lovin’ leave in conditioner you can revitalise hair from within without weighing it down.

Apply to towel-dried hair and style as usual for a rejuvenated, hydrated and lustrous look each use, with amino acids, aloe, horsetail and henna suitable for all hair types, even colour treated.

From first use we could see the results delivered as promised. When we previously thought of a leave in conditioner we’d grown to accept it wouldn’t perform as well as our usual wash-out formula. But we’d style to accommodate this, on days when there just aren’t enough hours! This, however, certainly was not the case with Philip B – our hair actually felt softer and looked glossier than when using our regular conditioner. Thanks to Philip B we are now an office of journalists “lovin’” our locks!
