Brand watch: Imiloa

Imiloa sums up an experience for travellers; it implies exploration for the sake of inspiration. This implication makes Imiloa one of London’s newest cool kids. Spearheaded by founders Charli Patterson and Priya Ramkissoon, much of the collection is inspired by their journeys through and within Asia and Africa.

Offering a selection of original garments and accessories, Imiloa is grounded in old tradition weft with modern detailing. Janata – their in-house collection – boasts of concomitant colours, cuts and patterns, simultaneously exhibiting their artistry, innovation and cultured inspiration. Brassy rings, mutedly poignant leggings, and mono-patterned button downs reveal just what these honorary rookies are made of. 

Having test driven a series of pop-ups throughout their original conquest, Imiloa decided to take their talents to London! Although exclusive, one-off pieces have been available since June, and 1^st July marked their official arrival at the very rad Stoke Newington Vinyl Library.
