Katie Walker: ethical jewellery collection

Katie Walker is the designer behind the ethical jewellery range, Believer.

The range was developed after Katie read the book Half the Sky; it inspired her to want to help women and children in developing countries, and through that, Believer was born.

“Becoming a parent changes your perspective on love and life. I couldn’t simply forget or ignore what I had learnt about the terrifying issues facing women in Asia and sub Saharan Africa; their lives and those of their children. As a mother and a woman, I feel a responsibility to help in any way I can.”

Using fair-trade and ethically sourced materials, Believer is a way to make a statement and help change the world.

Believer is fashion conscious with a twist of tribal. The range covers everything from bracelets and necklaces for women, men and children. Whether you prefer some chunky beads or a delicate chain with a simple pendant, there is something to suit everyone.

The Believer collection was developed to help raise money for the UK-based charity War Child, who helps children affected by conflict, and 20% from each sale goes to the charity.

The Life collection aims to raise awareness for the World Land Trust, and 20% of the sales from this collection goes to the World Land Trust charity and is split between two projects in Borneo and Columbia.
