Worn By brings us Venice Beach
Worn By have been bringing us outstanding printed clothing since 2004 and their latest menswear collection is a must-see.
Worn By was launched in 2004 and ever since then it has become a leading brand for many of the world’s premium fashion retailers. Appealing to music lovers of all ages, who appreciate the style and legacy of classic icons and honouring the most infamous moments in rock history. At Worn By they search the world for inspiration and work with original artists, musicians and photographers to revive original imagery and designs worn by legends of the past.
Their latest menswear collection is called “Venice Beach”. In the 1970s, the skate scene dominated Venice Beach and in particular the Venice Pavillion. The area was known as “The ghetto by the sea”, a seedy circus of gangs, street performers and hippies. A band of rough Venice locals tore skateboarding out of the hands of the clean-cut surfers and made it their own. Nowadays the Venice skate scene looks a lot more polished but the mentality of its skaters stay true to the gritty soul of skateboarding. This collection is Worn By’s tribute.
When you look at some of the prints it almost takes you back to the early 90s. For example, this RAD T-shirt is very bold and you would associate it with the 90s clubbing scene. However, when you look at this floral camo T-shirt you get the seventies vibe from it. You also get the hardcore modern edge that you typically associate with modern skaters with this rock on tee and the sk8 dog piece.
You can also can see the ghetto element really coming through in this new collection. It will be exciting to see what Worn By will be inspired by for their next collection. So, if you fancy treating your skater boy or you’re a skater looking for some new clobber, head over to Worn By here.
