One Direction lives the Hollywood dream
Born in Britain and making waves across the seas, famous boy band One Direction is now also living the American Dream. The band has to date sold more than 19 million singles, 10 million albums and has even scooped up one BRIT award and three MTV Video Music Awards.
Not only has the band made waves in music but the famous five have invaded the beauty market, too! This month marks the launch and release of their first fragrance known as Our Moment. News of the fragrance first surfaced when band front-liner, Harry Styles, first tweeted: “The 1D fragrance is called (drumroll)… Our Moment! And it smells like a summer’s day.”
The fragrance is said to be a pink-coloured, sweet-smelling scent, with a strong hint of frangipani, packaged in a see-through glass bottle with a crown for a lid, appealing to the female following One Direction is so famously known for.
The band has released a video ad on its official YouTube channel which debuts the fragrance and also provides fans with some insight into scents of berries, flowers and citrus that can be found in the fragrance.
Releasing a fragrance is known to be a highlight in all Hollywood stars’ careers, following stars like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. One Direction has not only achieved this great milestone but has also managed to sign a movie deal, seeing the release of their 3D movie This Is Us.
The film is said to be in theatres at the end of August and will highlight the band’s concert footage, one-on-one interviews and never-before-seen backstage moments.
Our Moment can be purchased at various beauty outlets throughout the world and retails in the UK at £39 for 100 ml, £29 for 50 ml and £21 for 30 ml.
