Trend alert: loafers

Autumn is right around the corner, and with that enters one of the biggest trends of the season, the loafer! Adding a masculine twist to any outfit, this is one must-have item for updating your fall wardrobe. 

The Rocket Dog “Horace”, £42.99, style gives the timeless classic a modern twist with its oversized buckle and fringe detail.   Its patent fabric ensures all your outfits will have that fashion forward edge. It’s available in all black, or a white and black option. 

ASOS, the fashion forward online retailer, which always offers the latest trends, is chock full of loafer options for the season. One we couldn’t take our eyes off was the ASOS “Mersey Leather Brogue”, £50. This shoe features a black leather upper, with an Ox-coloured suede panelled design and perforated detailing. 

Another amazing ASOS find, is the “Mix Tape Monk Shoes”, £45. This not so classic take on the loafer trend will set you apart from the crowd. It has an interesting shiny hologram upper, with a chunky sole. It’s perfect for channelling your inner 90s grunge self!

If you are looking for a bit of height, Topshop has you covered with their “Sweet Platform Cleated Loafers” , £80. This heel comes with a serious 5” black heel.  With a white cleated sole, it can be found in black, and bronze.

New Look has a few options for a lower price point. The “Nude Chain Trim Loafer“, £17.99, is a really cute option that can mix easily from day to night, and the nude colour goes with everything! It’s also available in black. This comfortable shoe can be found in both flat and heel versions in every colour, texture and price point under the sun, so make sure you grab a pair to be stylish this autumn!
