Reiss releases its first bespoke scent
Our favourite luxury high street brand, Reiss, has got us excited for autumn and not just because of their gorgeous new clothes collection. This September the chic label is releasing two perfumes, Black Oudh for him and Grey Flower for her.
After having recently celebrated 40 years in the business, founder and MD David Reiss wanted to give the brand something fresh to work with. “The luxury experience is driven by stimulating the senses within a space; whether visually inspiring through print and silhouette, texturally enticing in beautiful fabrication, or indeed provoking a response with a bespoke scent,” Reiss says.
The brand has certainly not taken any short cuts with their first fragrance and enlisted the help of the best in the business to create their custom scent. Azzi Glasser, who has previously collaborated with Alexander McQueen, Nicole Farhi, Hugo Boss and Liberty to name a few, worked with the brand for two years perfecting the perfumes. “We wanted to create something with a bespoke, artisan and luxurious feel,” says Glasser. “David [Reiss] wanted people to be shocked and surprised by the fragrances. He wanted something sexy but in the Reiss style and with the Reiss attention to detail.”
The scents are bold, earthy and warm. Black Oudh carries notes of laurel, wood, clary sage, amber and oudh and black musk – from which it derives its name. Grey Flower is equally as rich with notes of armoise, sequoia wood, jasmine, patchouli and cocoa leaf.

Black Oudh and Grey Flower go on sale this September with prices from £49.
