Iben Høj Unravelled: Ten years of knitting unveiled
Born in Denmark, Iben Høj started her own knitwear fashion label just in time for spring/summer 2003. Ten years on and the knitting guru has released a book titled Iben Høj Unravelled – a Decade of Fine Threads. The book is an insight into the creative mind of Iben Høj, where you will be able to check out her stunning work, find out what inspires the designer and will also give you the chance to be inspired too.
You can check out snippets of the exciting book here just by searching for Iben Høj. You can also contact the designer directly to find out how to grab yourself a copy.
The innovative knitwear creator also has an autumn/winter 2013 line currently available from her website. It has a fresh and stylish selection of pieces that showcases Høj’s talent beautifully. You can also request a made-to-order piece by, once again, contacting Høj directly. She will take all of the relevant information and produce an original and exquisite knitwear garment that is one-of-a-kind. All of these made-to-order designs are hand-made and of the highest quality, and because you are dealing with the designer directly, you can get right to the point with what it is you require.
As for the much-awaited spring/summer 2014 line, Høj will be revealing this at Paris Fashion Week. However, you can check out artwork and drawings by Australian artist Elisa Mazzone on her website here.
Finally, Iben Høj is also part of the book Knitwear Design by Carol Brown, a hardback that examines international designers as well as offering images, samples and general research in regards to knitwear. You can find out more by visiting Laurence King.
