Neobotanic Fashion launch party
Last night, The Upcoming attended the relaunch of Neobotanic Fashion. Held at the prestigious Millennium Mayfair Hotel, the new collection was worn by models with glamorous hairstyles and matching stiletto platforms.
The clothing range has a fusion of 80s-inspired colours with a 60s look and modern twist. The collection and brand is inspired by fruit and plant motifs, particularly the inside of the green life when dissected. The unusual print is fascinating and is complemented with the choice of colours or mesh and fine materials either 100% silk or cotton.
The collection is quite clean and simple and the motif and quality speak for themselves. The previous spring/summer and new autumn/winter collections tie in together as the Neobotanic brand has its own identity of cuts and inspirations. There is also a successful male line that includes shirts and ties with the same pattern and print as in the women’s wear collection.
Olga Ankudinova’s – the designer and founder of Neobotanic Fashion – favourite outfit from the new collection is the yellow mesh skirt and crop-top. Olga loves the crop-top trend as it has a sexy and sporty look that can either be dressed up or down.
A key piece that is seen throughout the brand is the shirt dress that drapes and has an adjusted knotted tie. The shirt dress is very elegant and complimentary of the woman’s body, allowing the wearer to be a part of the design with the button on the shoulders, allowing you to make the sleeves longer or shorter and adjust the tie around the waist for either a fitted or laid-back approach, depending on the occasion and mood.
The brand is based in East London and all of the collection is produced in the UK. Olga believes her designs are for those that have a passion for fashion. Neobotanic Fashion is for those who want to stand out, and feel youthful and fruity.
