Swiss designer-watch brand Tissot was celebrating its 160th birthday on Thursday at the elegant Supperclub in London. The event was true to the brand’s heritage with a handful of designers, bloggers and fashion photographers on the guest list.
The event offered a journey through the history of Tissot in the form of a timeline decorating the walls of the lounge and a giant cube displaying the most memorable moments of the brand.
The wonderful cocktails, all inspired by famous Tissot watch models named Navigator, Pinky and Fabulous Garden and mouth-watering nibbles were only the cherry on the cake at this wonderful birthday celebration. Soft lounge music and a ballerina entertaining the crowds added a special atmosphere to the event.
For the real Tissot fans, there was everything to be found from the very first Tissots to the latest watch designs, including the Tissot Heritage Navigator 160th Anniversary watch. This model was originally designed to celebrate the brand’s centenary in 1953. It is a real travellers watch, displaying the capitals of 24 countries to represent the time zones the wearer can choose from.
Tissot designs are elegant, affordable, luxury pieces using new materials such as fiberglass, stone of the Swiss Alps, mother-of-pearl and wood.
The brand is a proud sponsor of F1, UCI (International Cycling Union), FIE (International Fencing Federation) and Moto GP.
