Kate Moss returns to Topshop for S/S 2014 collection
Two of Britain’s biggest names are joining forces again. Three years since her final contribution, Kate Moss is returning to Topshop to release another collection for S/S 2014.
Set to be released in April next year, Moss is already working on designs for the range alongside the brand’s creative director Kate Phelan and longtime friend, stylist Katy England. The 40-piece collection, inspired by Moss’ own wardrobe, will include accessories and footwear alongside women’s wear, and will be available in 40 countries as well as online. Pop-up stores will also be launched in some of our favourite department stores to sell the already much anticipated items.
Sir Philip Green, aka Mr Topshop, said of Moss’ return to the brand: “I am personally thrilled that Kate wanted to come back to Topshop to work with us again. The first time around was such a lot of fun and she has been sorely missed.”
Our first peak in to the wardrobe of Kate Moss was back in 2007, with the release of her first collaboration with Topshop. To launch the collection, Moss posed in the window of the brand’s flagship store in Oxford Circus wearing a poppy red fishtail dress, which sold out within minutes along with the rest of the collection. The supermodel went on to create 14 more collections for the high-street giant until November 2010, comprised of boho styles, easy-to-wear pieces and pretty tea dresses.
“I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop. I am very excited to create a new collection that bears my name,” says Moss. “Now more than ever with London being at the forefront of fashion as it feels like I’m back home working with Topshop.”
