Rachel Ravitch launches silk and leather jewellery line
Based in Seattle, Rachel Ravitch’s collection of jewellery takes inspiration from flexibility and movement, and is designed to be light and fit comfortably on the body. The designer has just launched a beautiful silk and leather line with Craft and Culture and it looks set to cause a stir.
Rachel Ravitch studied art and design at the University of Washington in Seattle, and the idea behind her brand is to take non-precious materials and use them to create precious items.
Each piece is designed and crafted with durability, weightlessness and a unique feel in mind and the result is simple designs with a twist – quite literally.
Ravitch’s newest collection with Craft and Culture features a range of pieces that are made from rope wrapped in either leather or silk. Once covered, the rope is then twisted and secured into sculpturally interesting and eye-catching pieces that are guaranteed to be a conversation starter.
The range of bracelets and necklaces are available in a variety of colours that are sure to match every outfit for any occasion. Whether you’re heading to your next big event or you’re simply due for a day in the office, it has never been easier to make a soft, unique statement.
Ravitch’s jewellery items make the perfect gift for Christmas and are the ideal present for friends and family alike – or even as just a small gift for yourself! Unsurprisingly, the new collection is proving popular and some pieces are already out of stock, so make sure that you don’t wait around because this range definitely isn’t going to stay in stock for very long!
