Vielma unleashes an effortlessly luxurious new line
Gabriel Vielma unveils his latest line for Vielma London and it is a hot yet chic mix of bright colours, pure white, plush fabrics and strong style.
The story behind this particular ensemble of beautiful pieces is “Alessandra” the daughter of Capo, longing for freedom and self-reliance but confined by her culture and religion. It is wonderful to know the tale behind the fashion you are looking into it, with this particular collection it opens your eyes to use of colours, the fabrics used and the way they are paired together.
The pureness of the white beautifully marks the innocence of the character created and works wonderfully in stark contrast with the boldness of the yellow, red and especially the black leather.
Although the white is prevalent and a symbol of the pure side to this character, the materials used are sheer and glittering showing that Alessandra’s purity is already breaking free as she fights for independence. Many of the white designs are also partnered with fiery red nails or a tough black leather jacket, bringing together the two juxtaposing worlds of our Alessandra.
Whilst the strong, resilient black jacket is there to show her strength and power, the pop of red and yellow colours used in the powerful print are a representation of the chaos that surrounds her as well as a reflection of her feisty, colourful personality.
It’s not just the colours that contrast but the materials are soft, sleek and flowing or rough, tough and bold. What remains consistent through the collection is the lavishness of the pieces, whether Alessandra is pure and white or gutsy and colourful she remains rich, powerful and luxurious.
What Vielma also does is show us that all of these pieces can work beautifully together; styled in the correct manner, the coolness of the white with the heat of the red and the bold of the black can work in perfect harmony to create a glamorously cool outfit.
