Press day: Capitalize S/S 2014 sneak peek
Journalists gathered to see an exclusive look at a range of brands’ spring/summer 2014 collections held by Capitalize PR in a trendy show room in the West End.
Showcasing the upcoming collections from the likes of Bank, Fenchurch, Simmi and United Nude, the room was filled with bright and eclectic collections, bursting with print and playful designs.
Bank’s men’s wear and women’s wear saw a focus on Seattle grunge and neon florals, with two-pieces dominating the rails in a plethora of paisley and bold prints. Exposed zips and cut-out sides toughed up the more feminine dresses of the women’s wear collection, while perspex wedge heels and metallic clutches created a vibrant statement for any outfit.
Fenchurch has seen a rebranding, with a focus on basketball tees and tracksuits shining through. Inspired by the Ibiza clubbing scene, a range of sportswear that can be worn in the gym, during the day or even out partying, has been playfully designed to embrace dollar bill vests with matching bottoms, offering a more American feel to the active-wear brand.
United Nude impressed with a series of practical-yet-conceptual shoes, from multi-dimensional heels to metallic men’s loafers. Alternatively, Simmi offered a more affordable range of cut-out boots and sandals that are practical-yet-stylish.
With pom-poms, heavy beading and matching two-pieces making a heavy impact on the showroom, it is evident that spring/summer is going to be a season to look forward to!
