The “Gift of Confidence” evening: a talk on self-esteem
Karen Betts – the lady who pioneered permanent make-up in the UK – held the “Gift of Confidence” evening last week at a luxurious West End club. Celebrities and journalists alike gathered to hear motivating stories about how permanent make-up had dramatically changed their lives.
Held to celebrate Karen’s clients, a moving speech by one in particular – Diane Ayre – saw Diane discuss her emotional journey through chemotherapy, and how permanent make-up offered her a boost of confidence when she needed it most. As well as an evening of esteem-boosting speeches, attendees where also treated to treatments – from HD eyebrows to innovative Nouveau Skin Therapy facials.
Following the event, Karen said: “It was a fabulous evening – I’m so pleased so many people came to support me and celebrate the life-changing work permanent make-up can do.”
She added: “For me, my clients are the people who inspire me every day to keep on doing what I do and to keep spreading the word about the positive effects medical and cosmetic tattooing has on people’s confidence and self-esteem.”
