London Collections: Men – Topman Design A/W 2014 show

Topman Design presented its newest looks for the season yesterday at London Collections: Men, giving us a little taste of what’s to come this fashion week in February.  

The show really set the tone for the collection. It altogether matched with the message and look of the pieces perfectly with a wet and dark runway against the look of the broody and dramatic models. The clothes, however, were definitely (as they should be) the main point of the showcase as Topman’s collection definitely gave a new spin on menswear fashion favourites and staples.

Dark and raw, with a hint of a western feel, all describe the style of the collection. Its focus was more on dark jackets, structured suits and textured pieces, rather than the trend-led looks Topman had offered in the past.

Here the edgy collection overall really emphasised Topman’s growth over the past few seasons; going from trendy retail establishment to high-fashion heavy-weight.
