London Collections: Men – Marwood A/W 2014 showcase
Marwood launched its first collection in 2011 with a modest range of ties and bow ties in luxurious wool and lace. The brand now carries quite the repertoire of luxury accessories, ranging from neckwear to heritage pieces.
This season’s inspiration comes from the Viennese illustrator, craftsman, interior designer and painter, Koloman Moser. Marwood’s new range of woven ties, scarves, pocket squares and bow ties reference Moser’s graphic illustration and decorative furniture, giving them a modern twist through pops of colour and print.
For autumn/winter 2014, Marwood’s signature lace neckwear is revamped with hues of teal and dusty rose. Brass, copper and rust tones are balanced with ruby and lilac grey throughout the collection. The new addition leather gloves are handmade in Somerset and layer English lace and cashmere. New merino socks have been made with the reputable UK manufacturer, Pantherella, and reflect the geometric patterns of Moser’s iconic work. The brand also introduces pieces for the international traveller for autumn/winter: woven eye masks and shawls in Marwood patterns that are lined with cashmere and create an incredibly luxe finish.
Marwood accessories are designed, developed and produced entirely in the UK. Stockists include Dover Street Market, Liberty, Mr. Porter, Edifice, Tomorrowland, Maxfield, Union LA and Bloomingdales, among others worldwide.
In February the brand will present a small selection of “menswear accessories for women” at Somerset House, London.
