Jessica Minh Anh surprises us once again
As the first and only person to gain permission to use Singapore’s latest landmark and award-winning development, Jessica Minh Anh will use the Gardens by the Bay’s skyway for this year’s J Spring Fashion Show on 5th March 2014.
The J Spring Fashion Show goes beyond the ordinary; Singapore’s 128-metre-long skyway will be transformed into a phenomenal catwalk, and if that isn’t enough, this prodigious masterpiece wraps around two colossal tree-like structures both standing at 22 metres high. These super trees are truly remarkable, designed to display a myriad of lights at night leaving guests in awe of the panoramic view.
This tropical garden is home to an arrangement of plants from deserts all over the world and is believed to be the perfect place to live and work. The J Spring Fashion Show overlooks Singapore’s skyline, creating the perfect blend of modern technology and nature which is exactly how Jessica envisioned the show. This outdoor work of art is the city’s main attraction and will showcase a combination of haute couture and ready-to-wear collections from four continents. Jessica describes the show as “a perfect balance between clean-cut silhouettes and decorative details with multiple layers, strong colours and transparent pieces”.
Just when you think the show can’t get any better, Jessica reveals there will be a surprise; she’s known for her fancy renditions with previous shows incorporating a cake dress and a dove to captivate the audience. Jessica has also worked with British fashion leader Paul Costelloe, Japanese power house Yumi Katsura, Portuguese bridal house Joana Montez & Patricia de Melo among many others.
This year’s J Spring Fashion Show is expected to be like no other, as excitement brews in anticipation of an in-sky catwalk. Jessica stands out for her creativity, but it’s her love for heights that keeps us eager to know more. Her shows have been unbelievable, with the world’s highest fashion show on the Grand Canyon skywalk in the US, the first ever catwalk on London’s Tower Bridge, the 90-metre floating catwalk on the Seine River in Paris and the world’s first sundeck catwalk on Costa Atlantica in Dubai. Nonetheless its Singapore’s skyway catwalk that has us buzzing with energy as we expect 2014’s J Spring Fashion Show.
