Forage and Find: a touch away from the ordinary

Forage and Find: a touch away from the ordinary

If you’re looking to veer away from mainstream culture and find something bespoke that you can call your very own, Forage and Find accommodates all of your individually crafted needs. Priding themselves in finding forlorn materials and turning them into beautifully hand-crafted wearable pieces, they give story-ridden showpieces a breath of new life, allowing them to carry on living and carry on making stories.

Established in 2011, the company has extensively developed its collection since then, with all their pieces being handmade and uniquely crafted from pre-loved materials that add something only vintage items can achieve. They wanted to separate themselves from disposable fashion, providing something that lasts and has already proven the test of time, therefore becoming a handed-down treasure.

A lot of Forage and Find’s jewellery is made using a combination of antique treasures, including Edwardian pocket-watch dials, vintage gaming pieces, music box keys and an array of other mechanisms, brooches and other fabulously ornate items. They believe that by using these, they already have an individual story that the wearer can speculate over when using the item, and can marvel in the idea that one day, their story will be added to the timeless nature of the jewellery.

Not only does the jewellery speak for itself, but the company has a beautifully crafted mantra: “We believe everyone should have access to interesting handmade vintage jewellery that provides a talking point. We don’t believe in mass produced, and instead prefer to rework previously unloved fragments of the past and dedicate our time to developing unique pieces of jewellery that will never be repeated again.”

With items such as art nouveau keyhole pendants, enamel necklaces and memories of the sea eye-catchers, the collection is an eclectic array of quirky and period pieces. There is no need to concern yourself with the notion that someone else may replicate you, as each piece is a one-of-a-kind; so you can sit back and relax, letting the jewellery do the talking.

When on your next endeavour to find some accessory that defines you, why don’t you find something that you define, and “forage and find” your own way through vintage tales of individuality.
