London Collections: Men – Pretty Green A/W 2014 collection
A fairly dull and rainy Tuesday evening on the second day of the London Collections: Men took a step back to the Hacienda days of Manchester, with Pretty Green hosting their AW14 collection. Located at the trendy Beat Club, in the heart of Central London, Pretty Green presented mod-fans with a rock and roll treat inside a venue previously visited by John Lennon and The Who.
Entrance to the club presented you with fashion fans who rocked mullets and sideburns as well as dedicated workers of the brand who replicated the feel of the label in true Gallagher style.
The collection itself, entitled The Audition, stayed true to the Pretty Green name. Reworked Harrington jackets and Parkas gave a classic Mancunian touch. A finale extravaganza saw a faux fur coat inspired by John Lennon make a show-stopping mark on the catwalk.
We loved the leopard print touches in the collection that came in the form of a simple jersey tee and a matching scarf. We also can’t forget to mention the Liberty print shirt, which was teamed perfectly with black skinnies and the cleverly titled Symphony for the devil leather jacket.
The party, however, did not stop there. A DJ set from Clint Boon included classics by the Happy Mondays and Kasabian, and Ciroc Vodka cocktails kept everyone partying long into the night.
Pretty Green have stayed true to their roots and once again managed to pull out a brilliant collection.
