NYFW – Academy of Art University A/W 2014 showcase

Since 2005, the Academy of Art University has premiered the collections of recent graduates during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. “Part of our commitment to the designers is to help launch their careers and have their collections seen by industry professionals,” said Dr Elisa Stephens, president of the Academy of Art University. “Debuting their collections during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center is an incredible opportunity.”

This season Jungah Lee, Camilla Olson, Maria Korovilas, April Howard, Cara Chiappetta, Louie Llewellyn and Xiang Zhan presented their work, showcasing a plethora of different perspectives but still cohesive.

The collective added a bit of colour to the autumn/winter style palette with matted pressed woven overcoats and orange cage details galore, and these newcomers showed they could roll with the best of them.
