NYFW – Noon by Noor A/W 2014 collection
An unexpected fabric combination is just one of the things that the autumn/winter 2014 collection by Noon by Noor is giving us to talk about this year. Experimenting with oversized and voluminous coats, culotte pants and sweatshirts that bring to our minds the garçon look of the 1920s. The overture is inspired on this occasion by nature, but in particular by the unique markings found in minerals and other natural structures.
The selection of the fabrics is based on the observation of beautiful colours like the ones found in cloud formations or crystalline forms. These last ones are translated into notorious statement details that, together with felt and faux fur, give the clothing a more luxurious polish.
With an eye for subtle tone variations like a palette of cool mint, ice blue, mauve, burgundy, navy and delicate vanilla, and the texture effect provided by heavy crepe, chiffon and leather, the duo maintain the primary vision of their label: “modern and effortless”. They also add an expansion of their evening wear repertoire to this particular season with gowns adorned with cherish flair, and intricate embellishments.
The runway closed with a white signature dress with a decisive fall, golden crystals growing from the bottom without touching the bustier, and a dramatic yet delicate effect.
