Belle Sauvage was originally launched in 2008 by two designers Virginia Ferreira and Chris Neuman. The Belle Sauvage designs are known to combine “avant-garde silhouettes” with very strong prints. The brand aims to promote the combination of modern and sophisticated yet still keeping it feminine.
Each piece of clothing is designed to be a statement piece which was seen at the show today during the London Fashion Week. Their strong and bold designs are very out there yet still show class and feminism. The strong prints show a lot of personality and style; this is not only seen through the distinctive prints but the bold colours which were seen in her collection today: a lot of reds , golds and blacks were all colours that add an extra emphasis and personality to each item of clothing.
The brand has achieved a great deal of media interest with a great celebrity support from very well-known names such as Kelly Osborne, Lady Gaga, Fergie, Sugababes and many more. This has definitely had a great impact on the brand and has helped it grow.
The collection seen today was absolutely stunning; we adored the use of gold chains which were incorporated into the designs not only as prints on the items but also as head pieces and embedded on to the clothing. Despite the overall collection having a rather heavy and almost military feel to it, it did not loose its feminine side; the use of sheer materials in a lot of the designs added the extra feminine feel to them for sure.
