Una vida bien vivida (a life well lived) was the vision for the Ethologie by Jasper Garvida autumn/winter 2014 collection.
Inspired by the confidence and intensity of the traditional Spanish city Serville, the collection radiates colour, passion and vibrancy.
Opening with an exuberant flamenco dance performance, catwalk spectators were instantly transported to Garvida’s modern-day interpretation of the exotic Spanish isles.
Incongruent with his staple monochrome palette, Garvida set hearts racing with the passion and intensity of a new palette of deep reds, Mediterranean blues and bright multi florals. Translating from the infamous Spanish flamenco costume, Garvida then went on to create a haven for the fearless female fashionista as the catwalk played host to a flurry of large feminine frills, sensual laces and bold polka-dots.
The collection also accommodated for the contemporary man willing to go that extra mile. An effeminate polka-dot shirt and floral trouser combo is one to turn heads, whilst Garvida also presented a simpler selection of brightly-coloured jumpers adorned with a refined black jewel embellishment to remain just as fashion forward.
Either way, both men and women sporting the Ethologie collection are sure to be front of the fashion race next season.
