Karl Lagerfeld launches European flagship store in London
The wonderfully chic and always refined Karl Lagerfeld launched his European flagship store in London last week. With the likes of Haim, David Gandy and Princess Beatrice, it was an event like no other.
The launch took place on Thursday 13th March and the venue of choice was 145-147 Regent Street; this is of course where the store is now located. Kicking off at 6pm, Karl arrived with as much style and sophistication as always in a “KARL LAGERFELD” branded taxi. There were several other London cabs that drove along Regent Street throughout the evening, cementing that Mr Lagerfeld truly had arrived.
The man of the moment greeted guests and presented the largest Karl Lagerfeld store in Europe. Covering 250sqm and over two floors it will showcase the A/W 2014 collection from the German designer; a luxurious collection of men and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories including handbags, watches and scarves.
Karl explored the upper floor, pointing out his favourite pieces from the collection before heading downstairs to the private cocktail party to mingle among those who were excited to meet the fashion genius.
This new store will also feature the London-inspired capsule collection which is a military and rock-chic style range that takes inspiration from the Union Jack flag as well as the glamorous capital city mixed with the rebellious streak of the Karl Lagerfeld label.
