Henry Holland and Magnum make a delicious duo as they create a dress good enough to eat
This year the delectable ice-cream company celebrate their 25th year and to ensure they have a delightful date Henry Holland and Magnum team up to make the most scrumptious dress, ever!
The English fashion designer, and the brains behind House of Holland, has always had a rather quirky take on fashion: kooky slogan tees, statement tights, and bright and bold dresses are just some of the trademark designs from the Manchester-born fashion guru. So who better to design a dress made out of chocolate and inspired by ice cream?
Magnum have previously partnered up with Karl Lagerfeld for a similar concept when he directed their ad campaign back in 2011. The company are used to having the best of the best supporting their movements and Henry himself is aware of their great predecessors citing “Magnum has done some amazing partnerships”.
The dress in question is worth over £5,000 and took three months to produce; it may be a piece of clothing but your mouth will definitely be watering when you catch a glimpse of it!
Although it may be a yummy concept, it’s great to see that Henry hasn’t thrown the fact that it is still fashion out of the window. Sixties-inspired with an oversized pointed collar and swing shape, it may seem edible but that doesn’t stop it being on trend and totally wearable. At £5,000 it may be a tad expensive for us, but Magnum are giving away 25 dresses for free, one for each year of their birthday.
