Swims Footwear: style meets practicality

With summer just around the corner, brands are coming out with their newest summer collections.

Swims are a Norwegian lifestyle brand who have added a new range of men’s footwear to their S/S 2014 collection. When they launched in 2005 Swims aimed to find the solution to the dilemma we all face, especially any of us living in the UK. He aimed to find a solution to staying stylish with your footwear in the bad weather conditions we face pretty much 80 per cent of the time. John Ringdal, the founder of Swims, found his inspiration in his Norwegian roots where galoshes are traditional. He wanted to create a pair of shoes that were playful yet stylish but also practical. This is perfect for any men out there who like to keep stylish but practical.

His concept was to “reinvent the classic”. In their newest collection the shoes focus on the loafer and sneaker look, which were designed specifically as a must-have accessory for summer no matter where you are – whether it be the beach, city or cruise. What makes them perfect for summer is they are indestructible by water making it the perfect shoe for the wet weather conditions you may face on the beach or by rainy weather conditions on a day-to-day basis.

Whilst the brand’s main desire is to produce functional footwear they have made sure they are a fashion statement too, making them the perfect pair of shoes for men who like comfort and style combined in one. Swims have a wide range of shoe styles and colours making it easy to find a pair to fit in with your own personal style, for sure.
