Creation, colour and class: The best looks from the University of Westminster Fashion Design BA show
Where better to source the best up-and-coming fashion designers than the University of Westminster’s runway show? Here you’ll find a wealth of talented creators, designers and artistic marvels to inspire this season’s wardrobes and collections – even for those who fear the brightest of shades. We were there to capture the best and most unique looks from the class of 2014.
From start to finish there was a vast selection of new and old trends on the runway. Menswear designers merged sports luxe and metallic with religion, whilst womenswear collections crossed bold colours and fabrics against harsh black. Everything about the show was fresh, fine and strong, combining both elements of university and “real” fashion shows.
Although there was a long list of talent on hand at the show, from Alexander Munto, Rachel Raheja and Emma Charles to Valeska Collado, Hannah Ficking and Alex Bottenberg (to name but a few), each student still managed to have their moment in the spotlight, and boy did they shine. Now each with their foot firmly in the door, their introduction so slick and motivation still high, we, along with the rest of the fashion industry, can’t wait to see what they do next.
