Celia Birtwell teams up with Macmillan Cancer Support
Celia Birtwell CBE is a British textile and fashion designer, who is famous for her beautiful, romantic prints that stem back to the 1960s. Floral prints are Celia’s game and she defined the looks of the likes of Bianca Jagger and Pattie Boyd back in the day. She has had a whirlwind of a career, and with her comeback to fashion in 2006, she collaborated with high-street brand Topshop, creating four sell-out collections. She was awarded her CBE for services to the fashion industry in 2011 and has continued to keep her designs alive with further work with Uniqlo early last year.
Now, Celia has teamed up with Macmillan Cancer Support to create a range of limited edition badges to raise money for the charity. The badges themselves sport Celia’s brilliant floral designs in some of Macmillan’s infamous charity colours. The badges have been designed for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraising event, which is being held this year on 26th September.
Donations for the badges have no fixed price, but Macmillan is asking for a suggested donation of £2 and are available from Marks and Spencer stores across the country throughout September.
