Top summer hair tips

Top summer hair tips

So it’s hot and you’re getting fed up dealing with your unruly curls, but towel drying just isn’t doing it for you? We have some top tips to help you out.

1. Keep calm

Don’t worry about letting your hair dry naturally, it’s actually not as bad as you may think. Blow drying your hair can be massively drying for it, so as long as you have the right products then you can easily manage your hair.

2. Products

Make sure you use enough moisture on your hair, get the right shampoo and conditioner and also use other things such as leave in conditioner for your ends, and spray to keep it in a healthy state.

3. Don’t overdo it

It’s easy to get carried away when using products, thinking that the more you use the better your hair will be, oh so wrong. By using too much you can over-moisturise your hair, leaving it greasy and overworked. Keep it simple using one or two things after washing it.

4. Match with your hair

Get the right products for it! If you’re blonde then don’t buy products for brunettes because they’re on offer, they’re not going to do anything for you. If you need taming or more volume then get products that do that, don’t skimp on something so important to you.

5. Hair cuts

Keep them regular, that’s the trick. You may think that it’s just an old wives tale that your hair will grow more after you have it cut, but it’s true. Unhealthy and tired hair will be much less reluctant to grow, and also will look worse for being in a bad state – the main cause of frizz is not having regular cuts.

You may think that spending a lot on your hair is pointless, but remember, they’ll pay for themselves in compliments.
