Kelly Osbourne debuts her first women’s clothing line
Earlier this year, a photo of Kelly Osbourne and her brand new tattoo, controversially placed in her skull appeared online. Teamed with the caption, “Sorry mum and dad, but I love it.” Kelly’s tattoo, which read the word “stories”, intrigued lots of us in the fashion world. However, a few months down the line, all has now become clear; with the news that Ms Osbourne is launching her first women’s clothing line, cleverly titled Stories.
To be launched on 25th September, the line will consist of 13 different looks that are designed to let you create a memory with what you are wearing, whether that memory is good or bad. Speaking to WWD.com, Kelly said her collection wanted to fall in line with emotional attachments that we have in day-to-day life. Giving scenarios such as, “I wore that skirt on a date and it still has a stain on it from where I fell off the steps because he tried to kiss me, I didn’t want to kiss him and I broke my wrist. I can’t get rid of that,” Kelly wants her pieces to allow you create a story with your life situations.
Kelly has already acknowledge that her designs are not going to compete against the likes of Chanel, but she has taken advice from the likes of Betsey Johnson and Kim Jones, adding a touch of a British style to her pieces.
Osbourne has also made a decision to include a piece from her own story in the collection, by making her clothing available from size 0-24 and creating the items in stretchy fabrics. She has taken her own experience in life from being a range of different sizes and ensured her line is perfect for very shape and size.
This collection, Chapter One, is priced at around $55 to $170 and has been launched alongside its own Instagram account, @storiesbyKO, where you can find more information. We can’t wait to get our hands on it, let alone to find out what chapter two has in store!
