Son Jung Wan catwalk show report for NYFW S/S 2015

Son Jung Wan catwalk show report | NYFW S/S 2015

With minimalism being predominant in this collection, Dualism was the title of Son Jung Wan’s fashion show on Saturday of New York Fashion Week.

Wan clearly enjoys mixing and matching contrasting elements, much like Yin and Yang. Hard-edge details and rough texture fabrics are used to contrast the softness of the silhouette, while the straight lines counterbalance with soft, oriental streamline details. The colors range from opal to an alluring magenta, and deep tones of green and blue mint represent the summer. Often the colors are mixed with chalky whites and natural beiges.

The dresses came with soft curved silhouettes harmonized with rough texture fabrics such as hemp.

Gold color and sequins filled with the sun’s glare highlighted seams of soft minimalism expressed by using two layers of both mesh and tough cotton.
