Bora Aksu catwalk show report for LFW S/S 2015
With something for everyone, Bora Aksu’s spring/summer 2015 show took shape in the form of an exquisite day to night transmission, from angelic slips to brassy racer back dresses.
Hearts were set fluttering as a whimsical plethora of organza frills, sheer laces and laser-cut crotchets adorned the catwalk to a rather apt lullaby tune. What’s more, a delectable palette of whites, blues and pinks reaffirmed Aksu’s initial nod to the romanticism trend.
Nonetheless, the show’s ensuing soundtrack transition from lullaby to rock instantly rid the collection of its innocence, instead playing host to seductive bodysuits, covered only with delectably sheer maxi dresses. But it was a deep purple high neck maxi dress, teamed with a matching veil that really confirmed the switch from day to night. With a sweeping train, veil of equal length and cleverly refined bead embellishments it’s safe to say the look really was a show stealer. Strappy black peep toe stilettos also served to further Aksu’s more daring persona, as models strutted effortlessly down the catwalk whilst donning a selection of Aksu’s coolest sunglasses. As if that wasn’t enough, diamanté headdresses and 60s style chandelier earrings accented each and every look perfectly. J’adore ça.
